Working with Chanel for 13 years as a highly Trained Specialist, she did many special events, covered the color stories for each season and assisted with master classes, fashion shows and theater projects as well as commercial and magazine shoots. Her years of working in retail have cultivated an easy going way with people from all walks of life. After relocating to Miami, she worked in Television and Film for an array of channels including CNN, FOX and FOX Sports, CBS Telenoticias, HBO, Travel Channel, Telemundo Network, Discovery channel, E' Entertainment Latin America, and MUN 2. Maira has also worked extensively on freelance commercial projects in both <st1:city w:st="on">New York City</st1:city> and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Miami</st1:city></st1:place>. Her work has appeared in People En Español, Vogue, Ocean Drive Magazine and more. She has traveled with many talents on location, has done catalogue work, magazine work, fashion, and independent film projects and was key make-up artist and designer for the Miami Film Festival 48 hour film and most recently the independent film company SOM Reel Films. She has also coordinated hair and make up for the Latin Billboard Music Awards. She continuously attends the make up trade shows to keep abreast of the changes, especially with the advent of HD and air brush technology.
